Karen Gillan

Actress and writer Karen Gillan will turn 37 on November 28

Star of Doctor Who, Guardians of the Galaxy and this summer’s Douglas Is Cancelled on ITVX, Karen originally comes from Inverness. She’s married to American comedian Nick Cocher, and revealed in September she’s expecting their first child.

Magician

Karen’s first card is the Magician, reflecting her ability to take on very varied roles and cast her own special spell over them. This can be a card of great upheaval ahead, and can include a tough decision about where to settle. Luck can link to a performer or politician with a famous catch phrase, and travelling the same distance in miles as her age.

Moon

Next card on my table for Karen is The Moon, a symbol of hidden feelings breaking through, and hitting home. The biggest recognition in Karen’s career can come from a film she writes, and possibly also directs, where the story is told completely in pictures, with very few, if any, words. Yet the emotional truth will be unmistakeable, and affect a hard-to-reach audience.

Eight of Water

Lastly, I draw the Eight of Water. This card highlights the powerful draw of all that is new and different, and often indicates an attraction for an unconventional lifestyle and time spent on the move, perhaps on, or close to, the ocean.
